Pastor Alex "Torch" Kumpf

Pastor Alex “Torch” Kumpf serves as the Associate Pastor of Discipleship & Campus Ministries at City Church, where he leads with a passion for helping believers grow deep in their faith, strong in community, and bold in their God-given mission.

A Panama City Beach native, Pastor Torch first sensed God’s call to ministry at just sixteen years old. He began preaching at his high school’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) meetings and morning Christian club, while also teaching Sunday School and leading youth ministry at his home church. Those early experiences sparked a lifelong commitment to teaching God’s Word and equipping the next generation of disciples.

Pastor Torch holds an Associate of Arts in Comparative World Religions, a Bachelor of Arts in Religion, and a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry with a focus on Pastoral Ministries. Throughout his ministry journey, he has served in a variety of roles—youth pastor, worship leader, discipleship teacher, and campus minister—all with one heartbeat: to help people follow Jesus wholeheartedly.

He is known for his energetic teaching style, his heart for one-to-one discipleship, and his desire to see people experience life-changing transformation through God’s Word. Pastor Torch considers it a joy and honor to invest in the people of City Church and to be part of what God is doing here on the Treasure Coast.
